Festival News

Posted: October 28, 2016 in Production News, Uncategorized

The producers and director of Predatory Moon have decided to pull the film out of an upcoming festival because of perceived unfairness in the nomination process. This decision was made on account of the overwhelming response from people who have made their opinions known about festivals who appear to give preferential treatment.

Thank you to all of you who support our film, and we’ll be announcing more exciting news about it soon!

The Moon is rising soon!

We are only a few weeks away from coming out of post-production after three years of working on Predatory Moon. Soon we’ll be submitting the movie to film festivals and we’ll announce any screenings here.

In the meantime, here’s a little taste of things to come!

Now that the film has gone in for color correction, we’ve been sifting through all of the BTS footage to put together our “behind the scenes” video. We thought our fans might like a little peek at some of the clips:

Getting Closer

It’s been an incredibly long post-production process, but we’re a lot closer to finishing up now. The video editing is scheduled to be completed by the end of July, and then the film goes in for color-correction and score (music). While we can’t predict exactly how long that will take, we’re aiming to have Predatory Moon ready to screen by the end of year.

Thank you for your patience! We’re trying to make this film the best it can be.

While Predatory is slowly crawling its way through post-production, we took a night off to shoot some additional bloody footage.

Post-Production Updates

It’s been a long process with scheduling actors to come in for audio looping sessions, but we’re down to just one more character to go!

Later this month we’ll also be filming some additional werewolf transformation effects that the F/X department has been building.

We shot an awful lot of footage for Predatory Moon!  Over a terabyte’s worth, to be precise.

Now that everything has been gone through, named, numbered, trimmed, rendered, and entered into a log… we’re starting to bring actors in for dialogue looping.  (Remember all those airplanes and other noisy distractions that we were complaining about during filming?)

Yes, it’s a very slow process.  But we want this film to be the best it can be!
